Daniel Dietrich’s stories have received awards from St. Martin’s Press, the Outdoor Writers Association of American and the Minnesota State Arts Board. He and his wife live in the Driftless Area in southeastern Minnesota. He is a devotee of Thoreau’s journals, wood heat and yellow labs. His poems have appeared in Contours — A Literary Landscape, Applause and Poet-Artist Collaboration. Homestead is his first collection.
